For sheer everday usability, this is among the best-designed Tablets around. The 10.4-inch display is crisp, bright, and very usable for extended periods. Despite its small size, this model is equipped to get the job done. A 1.0-GHz Pentium M processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 40GB hard drive provide plenty of muscle, while a full compliment of communications features, including both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, provide access to the web from anywhere.
HP has included some convenient features such as a battery-free stylus, a jog dial for one-handed navigation, and a bridge battery pack for quick swapping of primary batteries. The TC1100 houses all of it's technology in the display, so that when you detach it, you have one of the slimmest, lightest, and most capable Tablets available.
The light weight of the TC1100 makes handling it for long periods of time a very appealing feature. As with most Tablet PC's, the lack of a DVD/CD drive doesn't make it suitable for gaming apps or movie watching. Its six programmable buttons are situated in the upper-right corner and along the far edge. They are easy to program and offer the flexability a Tablet user needs.
The TC1100 offers incredible graphics rendition for a Tablet. The detachable keyboard, bright screen and impressive overall performance could make even a die-hard notebook purist take a second look.
